When a police officer pulls me over for speeding, doesn’t he have to show me the radar gun?

No. The officer does not have to show you your speed on his radar when he stops you and he can and likely will write you a traffic citation for speeding. However, in order to convict you of a traffic offense the State must provide certain documentation to prove you were speeding.  If the documentation is not provided, your case will likely be dismissed.
