Nikki was born and raised in New York City. Like all of the firm’s staff, her parents immigrated to the U.S. Her family came from the Dominican Republic. During the 1970’s her parents decided to become U.S. citizens. Nikki reminds us that the immigration process was so much easier back then.
Her career has been primarily in the fashion industry in NYC, working for 18 years for two prominent fashion magazines. Later, she started investing in real estate, buying and fixing homes, and also obtained a teacher”s certification in French.
One day, she was checking out the jobs section on Craigslist and stumbled upon the legal section. Although she had never looked at that section before, she noticed the firm’s ad, titled “Looking for a Great Attorney.” She was captivated by it, as it mentioned the great things the firm was doing to help the community and the Hispanic population. She knew she wanted to be a part of it.
As fate would have it, she was invited to meet with Andres. Feeling quite uncertain as to exactly why she was invited, she chatted in Andres’ office for a while when he suddenly turned to her and said, “Hey, I have an opening in the marketing department, would you like to join us?” She thought about it for 3 seconds and said, “Sure; why not?” And the rest is history.
Nikki works day an night scheduling and preparing for the firm’s live seminars and working on all aspects of the firm’s marketing programs.
