I was born in Panama City, Panama. Some of the best memories of my childhood involve 80-degree weather, the beach, arroz con pollo, salsa music, and laughter of family and friends. I migrated to the U.S. with my mother during my middle school years. My mother had the opportunity to pursue her Master’s Degree and entered the U.S. through an F1 visa. It was a difficult adjustment to live away from all your family and friends at such a young age. But my mother, like so many other immigrant mothers, came to the US to seek a better opportunity for advancement and for growth. That is why I am so passionate about helping immigrant families remain in the U.S., we all want better opportunities for our families. My mother met her husband during her studies in the US. They both fell in love and it was a rap! My mother and I became U.S. permanent residents. This was the first time that I felt a sense of stability in the US. The greatest victory, however, was when I became a Naturalized Citizen! At this point, nothing could hold me back from pursuing my dreams.

I knew that I wanted to be a lawyer in middle school. I had a strong passion to help others that were less fortunate and believed in the power of justice. I received my B.A. in Sociology/Law and Society from the University of California, Riverside. I received my Juris Doctor from Michelle Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, MN. Today, I love working with our clients and educating them on the complexities of immigration law. I love empowering our clients and supporting them throughout their path to citizenship.

Outside of the office, I love spending time with my amazing 6-year-old. I also love watching movies, doing Zumba workouts in my living room, and eating desserts.
