I hope this email finds you in good health and high spirits. As Easter approaches on
April 9, I wanted to take a moment to share with you the significance of Passover. This
Jewish holiday holds deep meaning for both Jews and Christians alike.
Passover, or Pesach in Hebrew, is when Jewish families come together to
commemorate the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. This eight–
day festival begins on the evening of the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan, which
falls after sundown on Wednesday, April 5 this year.
Christians can appreciate the story of Passover, as it is deeply connected to their faith.
The Last Supper, which Jesus shared with his disciples, is widely believed to have been
a Passover Seder. By understanding the customs and traditions of Passover, you can
deepen your understanding of the historical context and spiritual significance of Jesus’
actions during the Last Supper.
Here are some critical aspects of the Passover celebration that can enrich your faith:

razones:

I hope this message finds you well. In today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world, it can
be easy to overlook the significance of historical events such as the Holocaust.
However, it is more important than ever to reflect on the lessons of the past and apply
them to our lives today. Hate, discrimination, and anti-semitism is alive in America like
never in my lifetime. To hear that our communities are facing blatant hatred and bigotry
is scary and saddening.
As descendants of Holocaust survivors, we are responsible for reminding our
community of the importance of remembering and learning from this dark chapter in
human history. Both of my grandfathers were born in Poland. My mother’s father,
Marcelo, moved from Poland to France, where he met his wife Eva and my grandmother.
Of seven children only, Marcelo and his father survived the war. They moved to Chile
after fighting the Nazis in France. My father’s father, Bernado, was born in Poland and
moved to Argentina in the 1930s. In Argentina, he met his wife, Donna, who was from
Yugoslavia. Of seven children, Bernardo brought three of his siblings to Argentina before
the Nazis murdered those who stayed in Poland.
In today’s America, remembering the Holocaust carries significant weight for several
reasons:
