Withholding of Removal is another type of protection available to individuals fleeing persecution. You are permitted to remain in the U.S. because the Immigration Judge recognizes that it is more likely than not that you will be persecuted in your home country if you are forced to return. You will get work authorization. However, you will not get a green card directly resulting from withholding of a removal. You must be the beneficiary of a separately filed application by someone else.
