More immigrants means a stronger economy

///More immigrants means a stronger economy
Immigrants provide an economic benefit to our country. There has been a lot of talk during the recent campaign about the Syrian refugee crisis and the impact that these immigrants would have on the communities they move into. The Syrian refugees granted bring the added concern of Islamic militarism. That is why some Republican nominees have advocated to only allow Christians into the U.S.. But putting aside the fact that the immigrants are from the Middle East, the fact remains that immigrants in general have the potential to revitalize communities. A recent study has once again shown it to be true. The cities of Dayton, Chicago, and Nashville have all recently made attempts to make their city more friendly to immigrants, and have seem major economic growth as a result.

28% of Main Street businesses are owned by immigrants!

The question is whether or not this growth was a result of these immigrants, but the answer is pretty clear. In 2013, 28 percent of the “main street” businesses in the nation were owned by immigrants. This means that out of all of the businesses that operate on main streets, 28 out of 100 were owned and operated by someone who had immigrated to the United States. This has a lot to do with the “American dream,” which is an age-old term used by those who wish to come to the United States. Those that come to the United States come here looking for a better life, and many of them find this life by opening up their own businesses. These business not only provide the benefit of more income and spending in the area, but they also increase the diversity of the area and help to make our nation the great melting pot that it is. That is certainly true for my family. We came here in 1981. Thanks to President Reagan’s Amnesty in 1986 we became legal residents in 1989. My father started his own business General Contracting and then HVAC business. I followed that tradition by opening Andres Mejer Law after working in the law business for over 10 years. Where did I open my office, Main Street Long Branch, of course.

Planned Immigration has economic benefits for all of us

If we were to allow immigrants to come to the United States and place them into certain neighborhoods or cities that are in need of an economic boost, we would see a revitalization of these neighborhoods. That is a solution that a few people have recommended before, and I feel as though it could genuinely work. It is important that you know that our nation is still a land of opportunity, and there are many ways in which you can take advantage of these opportunities. The first and most important thing that you can do is starting your journey on the path to citizenship or legal status as soon as possible. The main way to benefit from the “American Dream” is to achieve legal status. If you already have legal status than make sure to become a citizen.

How you can achieve Legal Status?

We have several resources on our website that can help you on this path, and we also offer a few programs that will ensure that you are properly protected from deportation. The first thing we offer is our quick and easy legal status questionnaire at www.QualifyForLegalStatus.com Simply fill out the questionnaire offered on the left hand side of this page, and find out if you qualify for legal status. If you do qualify, I would recommend contacting a member of our staff and finding out what you can do to start down the path towards legal status. Even if you don’t qualify for one of the principal paths to legal status, you must protect your family from immigration. We have designed our SAFE and SECURE programs for people just like you. These two programs help ensure that you are properly protected in the event of a run in with immigration enforcement officials.

What is the Safe Program?

Ask about our Safe and Secure program and identity card The first program we offer is our SAFE program. The purpose of this program is to minimize your chances of being arrested for any crime or immigration violation. We create an ID card that you can keep with you at all times and present if confronted with law enforcement office, whether immigration or the police. All you have to do is present the card to the officer and inform them that you will not answer any questions without your lawyer present. The goal is to prevent you from innocently admitting information that law enforcement can use to arrest you. On the back of the ID card is a list of your constitutional rights, as well as 24/7 phone number that is manned by an answering service. When you purchase this package you also receive a FREE 30-minute consultation with one of our staff members every year for as long as you are a member of the program.

What is the Secure Program?

We also have a program called the SECURE program, which applies specifically if you are detained by immigration. The identity card won’t keep you from being arrested if you already have an order of arrest or an order of deportation. However, the Secure program will greatly improve your chances of getting out of detention quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively. When you are first detained by immigration, your family normally would need to scramble to find you an attorney. Then your attorney will need to be multiple trips to visit you in jail to fill out paperwork, sign forms, and figure out the best strategy to getting you out of detention. What our SECURE program does, is make sure that all of that is taken care of before your arrest. Because you aren’t arrested, we also have the time to do a thorough background check and attempt to fix any issues that can get you into trouble with law enforcement. Here is what you with the Secure program:

  1. A thorough immigration analysis laying our your options,
  2. The Safe identity program for two years,
  3. A free consultation every year for two years to see if your options have changed and to make sure we have the most up to date information for you,
  4. Preparation for Deferred Action that way once it is implemented you will be ready to file quickly to achieve legal status,
  5. Criminal background analysis to see if you have outstanding issues that can result in your detention,
  6. Immigration Background analysis to determine if you have any impediment to achieving legal status and maximizing your ability to get out of immigration detention,
  7. Signed documentation to get you of detention either via an Immigration Judge or through immigration in case you already have an order of deportation.

You might think this package would cost over $10,000 and you would be right that it is worth that and more. However, because you are doing this in advance and before you are in immigration custody the cost is much less. If you wait until you are detained it can be much more than $10,000. With the right planning you and your family will know what to do and in some cases you may just qualify for legal status that you didn’t even know of. Call us today to find out at 888-695-6169. Our nation is a currently looking for any way it can find to revitalize some of our poorer cities, and allowing immigration to come into this nation and to move into these cities would provide just the push we are looking for. Of course, we could get a similar benefit if we allow our undocumented or illegal immigrants to achieve earned legal status. Our nation is a land of promise and opportunity, and the more we offer those opportunities to people, the more they will be as a society will benefit. We here at Andres Mejer Law have the ability to help you through the transition from immigrant to citizen, and we would love to have the opportunity to meet with you and discuss your future in this great nation. Please reach out to us, and make sure that you take advantage of the numerous programs that we have to offer.
